Russian and Central European modernism · American studio craft and design

Attribution, provenance, and collections advisory. New York.

Practice

DCAM works with museums, foundations, estates, and private collections on exhibitions, publications, and questions of attribution. Recent engagements include curatorial advisory roles for the Lee Ufan Foundation, Arles; the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm; the Fondation Beyeler, Riehen/Basel; and the Hermitage Museum Foundation Israel, Tel Aviv.

The practice was founded by Matthew Drutt, who was Chief Curator of The Menil Collection, Curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and Executive Director of Artpace San Antonio. He was named Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2006.

The practice holds no interest in the objects it examines and takes no position in their sale. Fees are never contingent on the conclusion reached. Standards of practice.

Collections advisory

Guidance for foundations, estates, and private collections on acquisition, cataloguing, interpretation, and long-range planning.
